Chapter Fifteen (Epilogue)

Fast-forward — 20 years later

A young girl ran inside of her house, her backpack on her shoulders. Once she closed the front door, she took her backpack and shoes off.

“Mom! Mom!”

The mother, hearing the distress in her daughter’s voice quickly got out of the kitchen.

“What? What’s wrong?”

“I need your help!”

The mother frowned.

“What’s going on?”

The little girl took a deep breath.

The son and the father were sitting at their dining table. The father looked at his son and saw him picking at his plate.

“What’s going on?”

The boy sighed and explained what was on his mind. After the boy finished, the father took a deep breath.

“Are you sure about what you’re saying?”

The boy nodded.

“Yes. Alessia, the girl in my class, thinks the same.”

“Do you have any proof? Did he tell you anything or did you see anything?”

The boy shook his head.

“It’s the way he reacts to others, dad.”

“I don’t know what to do, Mom.”

The mother covered her daughter’s hands with hers.

“First of all, you have to make sure he knows you are there for him.”
